Terms of service

These terms cover your use of Kelo CRM, including Kelo for Real Estate at real-estate.kelocrm.com ("Kelo"). Kelo is provided by The Code Smith ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Kelo, you agree to these terms on behalf of your company.

1. Your account

  • The person who signs up is the account's owner and can add other users.
  • You're responsible for what your users do in Kelo and for keeping passwords safe. We recommend two-step sign-in for owners and admins.
  • You must give accurate details and be allowed to act for your company.

2. Free trial

Each new company gets a 14-day free trial. When it ends, choose a plan to continue. Until you do, your data is kept, and Settings, Billing and Help stay open.

3. Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions are charged per user, for the period you choose (monthly or yearly), in advance.
  • You can ask us to change or cancel your plan at any time. A cancelled plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
  • We tell you at least 30 days before any price change affects you.

4. Buy once ("Make It Yours")

  • A licence lets your company use Kelo on your own server, for the number of users and the edition on your licence.
  • It is a licence to use. It doesn't transfer ownership of the software or its source code.
  • It includes installation, 12 months of updates and 3 months of support. After that, updates and support can be renewed yearly. Kelo keeps working without them.
  • You may not resell, share or copy the software beyond your licence.

5. Your data

  • Your data belongs to you. We use it only to provide Kelo to you, as described in our privacy policy.
  • The owner can download all of the company's data at any time from Administration.
  • You're responsible for having the right to store the personal data you put into Kelo, and for how you use it (for example, for marketing).

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Kelo to break the law, send spam, store malware, or try to get into other customers' data or our systems.

7. Payments and money in Kelo

Kelo records payments, invoices and rent. It doesn't hold, take or send money for you. Tax rates in Kelo are your settings — check them with your accountant.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Kelo running and back it up every night, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. We improve Kelo over time; if we remove a feature you rely on, we'll tell you in advance.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it.

10. Ending

You can stop at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or don't pay, after telling you where we reasonably can. After an account ends, we keep its data for 30 days so you can download it, then delete it.
